About the program

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program is a specialized health program designed to prepare scientifically and professionally qualified midwives to provide comprehensive care for women, mothers, and newborns. This program aligns with the needs of society and the demands of the healthcare job market, within a supportive and innovative academic environment that supports the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

The program focuses on equipping students with the scientific knowledge and clinical skills necessary for practicing midwifery. This is achieved through courses in basic sciences and nursing, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, newborn care, reproductive health, patient safety, and infection control, in addition to practical and clinical training.

The program comprises a study plan totaling 141 credit hours. Upon completion of these hours, students undergo a mandatory internship year, enabling them to gain the practical experience necessary to practice the profession efficiently and responsibly.
